Social strategy
The social strategy is the growth plan for the company's own social accounts: Instagram, Facebook and the LinkedIn company page. It sets the growth pillars (tied to the G2M), a hook library and viral mechanics for the client's niche, the format mix per platform, the posting cadence and best times, the hashtag approach, a 90-day roadmap and KPI targets. The Company Social calendar is planned from it.
What it does
The social strategy is the growth plan for the company's own social accounts: Instagram, Facebook and the LinkedIn company page. It sets the growth pillars (tied to the G2M), a hook library and viral mechanics for the client's niche, the format mix per platform, the posting cadence and best times, the hashtag approach, a 90-day roadmap and KPI targets. The Company Social calendar is planned from it.
It covers the company only. Each author's LinkedIn is planned from their own thought leadership strategy.
Set it up
- Agent: Organic Social Strategy (
social-strategy) - Model tier: Sonnet · cost cap per run: $4.00
- Needs: web_crawl, aeo_probes · uses when connected: meta_social
- The G2M and brand identity must be on file first.
- Optional but recommended: connect Meta ("Connect Meta for them."). With it, the strategy uses the account's real audience and its best-performing posts; without it, it works from the client's niche and says so in its caveats.
- "Build the social strategy." By default it covers Instagram and Facebook. Name the platforms to change that: "Build a social strategy for Instagram and the LinkedIn company page." You can also give a cadence, like 3 posts a week.
If a strategy already exists, Nexus shows it first and asks whether to update it or rebuild it.
Check and curate
- "Show the social strategy." Ask for one part: "What's the hook library in the social strategy?"
- Change one value without a rebuild: "Set the Instagram cadence to 5 posts a week in the social strategy."
- Add to it: "Add a viral mechanic to the social strategy: behind-the-scenes reels on Fridays."
- To add or drop a platform, rebuild it with the new platform list.
Use it
The calendar planner reads the pillars, format mix and cadence; the drafters use the hooks and the voice. See the social calendar guide.
Maintain
- Rebuild it each quarter, or when the client adds a channel or its audience changes.
Troubleshooting
- Planning the calendar says there's no social strategy. Build it first; the company calendar is planned from it.
- A platform I asked for was rejected. The strategy supports Instagram, Facebook and the LinkedIn company page. A person's own LinkedIn belongs to thought leadership.
Prompts
- "Connect Meta for them."
