Brand identity

The brand identity holds the client's colors, fonts, logos, voice and visual style. Images, carousels, videos and the tone of every piece use it.

What it does

The brand identity holds the client's colors, fonts, logos, voice and visual style. Images, carousels, videos and the tone of every piece use it.

Set it up

  1. "Build the brand identity from their website and this brandbook: [link]." A stated color in a brandbook beats a color read off an image.
  2. ✋ Upload the logo as a transparent PNG (or SVG): drop it in the channel and say "Save this as the logo." Add light and dark versions too, so Nexus can pick one by background.

Check and curate

  • "Open the brand system page." It shows the palette with contrast scores, type specimens, logos on light and dark, and the tokens.
  • Change the brand itself: "Change the brand's accent color to #0A6CFF."
  • For generated designs only, pin a color: "Set the accent color to #0A6CFF." This sets a design-kit override; the brand identity stays as it is.

Troubleshooting

  • The logo has a box around it. It isn't transparent. Upload a cut-out PNG.
  • A color is slightly off. Brand colors stated in a brandbook win; give Nexus the brandbook, or set the color directly.
