Brand Amplification Engine
The Brand Amplification Engine keeps watch on a client's market. It reports what competitors changed, tears down their sign-up flows and copy, finds content gaps against them, and gathers public material written about the client into its knowledge base.
What it does
The Brand Amplification Engine keeps watch on a client's market. It reports what competitors changed, tears down their sign-up flows and copy, finds content gaps against them, and gathers public material written about the client into its knowledge base.
Set it up
"What's left to set up for the brand amplification engine?" shows which steps are done, with the next one to do.
- Website — Give the client's website URL.
- Go-to-market strategy (G2M) — Build it from the website, or import an existing strategy doc.
- Competitors — Name the competitors to monitor.
- Brand identity (optional) — Build it from the website and any brandbook (brand-identity agent).
- The client's site, indexed (optional) — Index the site so gaps are judged against what exists.
- The G2M comes first: the competitor agents read the competitor list from it.
- ✋ Name the competitors to watch. Competitors named in the G2M are kept out of citations automatically; add the ones to watch to the competitor list (see the Competitors guide).
- The brand identity and the indexed site are optional. With the site indexed, content gaps are judged against the pages the client already has.
Your Nexus team turns the engine on once the required steps are done.
Use it
Start with a competitor sweep: "Run a competitor sweep." It reports what each competitor changed and what the client could do about it. The Competitor monitoring guide covers the sweep and the UX teardown.
Every finding is kept, so "What did the last competitor sweep find?" answers later without running anything again.
Maintain
- Run the sweep monthly, or schedule it.
- Keep the competitor list current: a competitor added or dropped in the G2M changes what the next run watches.
