Lead intelligence pipeline

Four agents take the client from "who should we sell to?" to a researched list of accounts and contacts. Each stage saves its results and waits for a person before the next one. None of them writes to HubSpot; the push is a separate, approved step.

What it does

Four agents take the client from "who should we sell to?" to a researched list of accounts and contacts. Each stage saves its results and waits for a person before the next one. None of them writes to HubSpot; the push is a separate, approved step.

Use it

1. Refine the ICP (optional)

"Refine the ICP from their closed-won deals." compares the ICP in the G2M with the deals the client actually wins and has open in HubSpot, and saves an effective ICP: tighter company sizes, industries that convert, regions with no wins removed. Discovery and contact scoring use it when it's there. Ask about it with "What's their effective ICP?"

  • Agent: Lead ICP Refine (lead-icp-refine)
  • Model tier: Sonnet · cost cap per run: $4.00
  • Needs: hubspot

2. Discover target accounts

"Discover target accounts." finds look-alike companies from the web, checks each one against its live website (dead or invented domains are dropped), skips existing HubSpot customers when HubSpot is connected, and scores fit. Scope a run to one industry: "Find target accounts in manufacturing." Nexus quotes the run before it starts; reply "yes" to go ahead. Every run skips accounts already on the list, so "find 30 more" means 30 new ones.

  • Agent: Lead Account Discovery (lead-account-discovery)
  • Model tier: Haiku · cost cap per run: $4.00
  • Needs: web_crawl, aeo_probes, directory · uses when connected: apollo, peopledatalabs, hubspot, google_places

3. ✋ Review and approve the list

When discovery finishes, its message already links the review dashboard and an editable Google Sheet. In the sheet, set each account's tier: primary (pursue), secondary (keep for later) or excluded (drop; it won't come back as new).

  • Change one account without the sheet: "Set acme.com to primary on the target list." or "Exclude acme.com from the target list."
  • Add a company discovery missed: "Add acme.com to the target list."
  • Rebuild the sheet after edits: "Regenerate the target list sheet."
  • Lock it in: "Approve the target list." The primary accounts go on to research.

4. Research the accounts

"Enrich the approved target accounts." For each primary account, Nexus finds its closest competitors, compares their websites with the account's, and writes the positioning gaps and a why-now angle for outreach, with quotes as evidence. Results land in a Google Doc. An account researched in the last six months is reused instead of researched again.

  • Agent: Lead Account Enrichment (lead-account-enrichment)
  • Model tier: Haiku · cost cap per run: $12.00
  • Needs: web_crawl, company_enrichments, aeo_probes · uses when connected: peopledatalabs

5. Find the contacts

"Find contacts at the approved accounts." finds three to five people per account across the buying committee (decision maker, influencer, champion), scores them against the ICP personas, and writes a one-line personalization angle for each. This handles personal data, so Nexus asks before it starts. People in the client's restricted regions get firmographic details only, and personal enrichment (emails, profiles) is off unless someone asks for it.

  • Agent: Lead Contact Discovery (lead-contact-discovery)
  • Model tier: Haiku · cost cap per run: $40.00
  • Needs: apollo, contact_enrichments · uses when connected: peopledatalabs

Troubleshooting

  • Fewer accounts than asked for. The run skips companies already on the list, and some industries have few close look-alikes. Ask for a broader industry or name a few example companies to steer it.
  • Approving says there's nothing to enrich. No account has the primary tier. Set at least one to primary, then approve again.
  • Research or contacts won't start. There's no approved list yet: approve the target list first. Contact discovery also needs the effective ICP.
