What it does
The words Nexus uses, and what each one means.
Terms
- Pillar: a topic the client owns. Pillars are defined in the content strategy.
- Pillar page: the main page for a pillar, the one every article under that pillar links to.
- Supporting page: a page or article filed under a pillar.
- Keyword theme: a group of related keywords in the keyword universe. Each pillar lists its themes.
- Keyword universe: every keyword Nexus tracks for the client, with search volume and relevance.
- G2M: the client's go-to-market strategy: positioning, ideal customer, offer and tone. Every piece reads it.
- Brief: the plan for one article: angle, sections, the links and evidence assigned to each section.
- Content record: one piece's page in Nexus, where you review and edit every field (title, slug, meta, body, images).
- Company Social: the company's own channels (LinkedIn page, Instagram, Facebook, Google Business).
- Thought Leadership: an author's posts on their own personal LinkedIn.
- Guardrail: a rule every piece must follow, such as "never mention pricing".
- Knowledge gap: a question Nexus asks about the client; answering it makes later pieces more specific.
- Preview / confirm: bulk changes show a preview first and change nothing until you confirm.
