What Nexus does automatically

This is the list of things Nexus already does on its own, so nobody repeats them by hand.

What it does

This is the list of things Nexus already does on its own, so nobody repeats them by hand.

Content and links

  • Indexes the client's whole sitemap at onboarding, re-checks it daily, and adds new pages before every piece.
  • Classifies each site page by type (service, product, case study, blog…) and pillar, and drops pages that return 404.
  • Re-checks external sources and takes dead ones out of rotation. A blocked or timed-out source is not treated as dead.
  • Scans competitor sitemaps for the research step.
  • Researches, checks and assigns links per section in every brief, and makes sure the required links are in the draft.
  • Blocks competitor sites as citations.
  • Generates the schema markup, the meta block, the excerpt, subtitle and tags, and the images.
  • Adds every published piece to the internal link inventory.
  • Picks up content performance from Search Console weekly and flags pages that are losing traffic.

What still needs a person

Anything marked ✋ in a guide: sharing folders and accounts, reviewing drafts, approving strategies and stories, and checking the CMS draft before it goes live. Ask Nexus "how do I set up [feature]" for the exact steps.
