Reviews and reputation
Nexus tracks a client's profiles on the B2B review platforms and the same competitors' profiles. For each one it keeps the star rating and review count over time. From the client's own reviews it finds the recurring praise and complaints, with how many reviews mention each and quotes copied from them.
What it does
Nexus tracks a client's profiles on the B2B review platforms and the same competitors' profiles. For each one it keeps the star rating and review count over time. From the client's own reviews it finds the recurring praise and complaints, with how many reviews mention each and quotes copied from them.
Nexus never opens the review sites. Ratings and counts come from Google's result for each profile page. The client's G2 reviews come from the G2 API with the client's token. Reviews from other platforms come from an export you import. Competitors' review text isn't collected yet, only their rating and count.
Set it up
- Add a profile: "Track our G2 profile https://www.g2.com/products/example/reviews." Nexus reads its rating right away.
- Add a competitor's profile the same way, saying whose it is: "Add a competitor's Capterra profile: Example Co, https://www.capterra.com/p/123/example/."
- Don't know the links? "Find our review profiles." Nexus searches and lists what it finds; you confirm which to add.
- See what's tracked: "Which review profiles are we tracking?" Stop tracking one: "Stop tracking that review profile."
- ✋ For a G2 client, ask the client's G2 admin for an API token (G2 Admin → Integrations → API Tokens), then: "Here is our G2 API token: …" Then "Pull our G2 reviews."
- For other platforms, export the reviews from the platform's vendor dashboard and attach the file: "Import our Clutch reviews from this file." Nexus shows a preview first and imports on your yes.
Use it
- "How are our reviews doing?" shows each platform: the client's rating and review count, each competitor's, reviews gained over 30 and 90 days, and where the client ranks.
- "What do our reviews say?" finds the praise and complaint themes (about a minute).
- Nexus checks every profile on Mondays. "Refresh our review ratings." checks them now.
In the client report
- The client report has a Reputation page once a profile is tracked. It shows the average rating, review count and new reviews over time, a table of every profile (the client's and competitors') and the website visits each review site sent. The performance report shows a Reputation row with a link to it.
- Website visits from review sites come from Google Analytics, matched on where each visit came from: G2, Clutch, Capterra, GetApp, Software Advice, TrustRadius, GoodFirms, DesignRush and Gartner. The same table is on the Website page, so a client with Google Analytics sees this traffic even without tracked profiles. It only appears when there were such visits.
- Gartner counts every visit from gartner.com, not only Peer Insights, because Google Analytics can't tell the two apart.
Troubleshooting
- "Google shows the page but no star rating". Google doesn't show a rating for every profile page. Import the reviews from an export, or connect the G2 API for a G2 profile.
- Reviews gained shows nothing. It needs two checks at least a month apart.
- A found profile belongs to another company. A similar name can match another business. Check each link before adding it.
