# Tools

## What it does

Tools is the page for audits and checks you run once, when you need one: a technical SEO audit, the AI answer test, a competitor UX audit, a CRM hygiene check, an ads account audit. An engine is ongoing work (reporting, content, social); a tool runs, makes its result, and is done.

- Each tool has its own page: what it does, what you get, how long it takes, what it can cost at most, and what has to be connected first.
- **Run** opens Ask Nexus with the request filled in. Nexus confirms the cost before anything starts, the same as in Slack.
- Every run is listed on the tool's page, newest first, with the result it made (a report in the Library, or a scorecard page) and who asked for it. A run that failed says why.
- The AI answer test's scorecard opens inside the app, under Tools.

## Use it

Open **Tools** in the sidebar, find the tool (filter by area: search, website, competitors, CRM, paid ads), and press **Run**. A tool that needs a connection the client doesn't have says which one first.

Building a website or a landing page isn't a tool: it runs over several steps, so it lives in the Content engine.

## Troubleshooting

- **A run says Failed.** Hover the status for the reason Nexus got back, then run it again or fix what it names (a blocked crawl, an expired connection).
- **A tool is missing for the client's people.** CRM and paid-ads audits are for the account team only.
