# Publishing to LinkedIn

## What it does

Nexus can publish social calendar posts to LinkedIn: an author's posts to their own profile, and company posts to the company page. It posts the copy with the post's image, or a carousel as a LinkedIn document, then marks the post published with its live link.

## Set it up

Each author and the company page connect once:

- ✋ An author: **"Connect LinkedIn for Jane."** Jane herself opens the link and signs in with her own LinkedIn; nobody can do it for her. Each author connects separately.
- ✋ The company page: **"Connect our company LinkedIn page."** The link must be opened by an administrator of the page. If they manage several pages, Nexus asks which one.

## Use it

- **"Publish [title] to LinkedIn."** Nexus shows a preview first and publishes only after you say yes. Publishing can't be undone.
- Publish on schedule instead: **"Publish our LinkedIn posts automatically on their dates."** Or flag a single post. Posts then go out on their date with no per-post check, so turn it on only for copy that's been approved.

Video, reel, poll and story posts can't be published by Nexus yet; post those yourself and record the live link on the post.

## Maintain

- To stop publishing for someone: **"Disconnect LinkedIn for Jane."** Publishing for them is refused until they connect again.

## Troubleshooting

- **The page connection was refused.** The person who opened the link isn't an administrator of the page. Send the link to an admin.
- **A publish failed.** Nexus shows LinkedIn's exact error. If the author was disconnected, connect them again; an error about permissions or scopes is a LinkedIn app setting, which your Nexus team fixes.
