# Client knowledge base

## What it does

The knowledge base holds what Nexus knows about a client beyond its strategy files: documents, case studies, call transcripts, its own web pages, and the facts and preferences people tell it. Briefs use it so each piece has client-specific substance instead of category-level filler.

## Set it up

- **"Add this to their knowledge base: [link]."** Docs, PDFs, slides, sheets and web pages work. Drop a file in the channel to upload it.
- ✋ Tell your Nexus team what may be quoted. Confidential material informs the work but is never quoted in published pieces.
- ✋ Transcripts of the client's own calls need you to confirm you may share them.

## Check and curate

- Answer Nexus's questions: **"What questions do you have for the client?"** then answer one: "Answer gap 3: our average deal is $40k." Answers make later pieces more specific.

## Troubleshooting

- **A piece reads generic.** Little is on file for that topic. Add documents or answer the open questions.
- **Nexus refused a document.** It names another client: check you're in the right channel.

## Prompts

- "Add this to their knowledge base: [link]."
- "What questions do you have for the client?"
