# Google Business Profile

## What it does

With the client's Google Business Profile connected, Nexus reads and replies to Google reviews, publishes Google Business posts (one-off updates, or posts planned on the Company Social calendar), and checks which posts are live.

## Set it up

1. ✋ **"Connect Google Business Profile for them."** Someone who manages the client's profile opens the link Nexus posts and grants access.
2. Nexus finds the account and its locations and saves them. When the account can see several listings (an agency account often sees other businesses too), Nexus lists them and asks which one is this client's. **"List the Google Business listings we can see."** shows them any time.
3. Wrong listing saved? **"Remove that Google Business location, it belongs to another client."** Or name the one to use instead.

Every publish preview names the listing it will post to. If it isn't this client's business, stop and fix the listing first.

## Use it

### Reviews

- **"Any new Google reviews?"** Unanswered reviews come first.
- **"Draft a reply to the latest review."** Nexus drafts it; it posts publicly only after you say yes.

### Posts

- A one-off update: **"Post a Google Business update about our holiday hours."** Nexus shows the draft, then publishes on your yes. Events and offers need their dates.
- A post on the social calendar: **"Publish the Google Business post [title]."**
- On schedule: **"Auto-publish Google Business posts on their dates."** Planned Google Business posts then publish on their date with no per-post check. Off until you turn it on.
- **"Did the Google Business post go live?"** Google shows a new post as processing for a few minutes; this checks each post's state and adds the live link to the social dashboard.

A post's photo must be a public image, such as a published blog's featured image. A Drive image is skipped and the post goes out without it.

## Troubleshooting

- **Nexus says the profile isn't connected or configured.** Connect it again, or ask Nexus to list the listings and pick one.
- **Access expired or was revoked.** **"Reconnect Google Business Profile."**
