# External sources

## What it does

Nexus keeps a list of credible outside sources each client can cite (research, industry associations, trade press, government data), rated by authority and freshness. Articles cite from that list; competitors are never cited.

## Set it up

- **"Research external sources for them."** Runs in the background and posts the result to the thread.
- Add one you trust: **"Add this source: https://www.example.org/report."**

## Check and curate

- **"How healthy is the external link inventory?"**
- Block or prefer one: **"Blacklist example.net as a source."** or **"Mark example.org as trusted."**
- Open the link inventory to see which pieces cite each source.

## Troubleshooting

- **Research found sources but kept few.** Most results were company sites, which are never cited. The result says why each was dropped.
- **Citations look made up.** Live search may be down: **"Check the content link search."**
