# Content calendar

## What it does

The content calendar is the plan of website articles, with a title, date, pillar, author, audience and length for each. Nexus builds it from the content strategy and shows it in the content calendar dashboard, where you can edit most columns in place.

## Use it

- **"Plan the content calendar for the next 60 days."** The number of pieces follows the strategy's cadence.
- **"Open the content calendar dashboard."**
- **"Add a blog idea: how unplanned downtime affects margin."**
- Move several pieces at once: **"Set these dates: [title A] to Oct 20; [title B] to Oct 22."**
- **"No more than one blog per day, and none on weekends."**
- **"Fill in the summaries, subtitles and tags."**

## Review it

Check titles, dates, authors and pillars in the dashboard before producing. A date you set by hand is never moved automatically.

## Maintain

When 3 or fewer unpublished pieces remain (drafts count), Nexus can ask to plan the next batch, when your Nexus team has turned that alert on. Otherwise, plan the next batch when the calendar runs low.
