# Brand Engine

## What it does

The Brand Engine is the Brand section of the workspace: what every other engine designs and writes with.

- **Brand identity**: the voice, colours, typography and logo, built from your website and any brandbook.
- **Brand system**: the identity as a design system (the Design Kit), used by every image, carousel, page and document Nexus makes.
- **Messaging**: the messaging framework, with the value propositions and proof for each persona.

The brand identity has its own guide, which covers the brand system and the messaging framework too.

## Set it up

**"Show the brand engine setup."** lists which steps are done and the next one to do. The same checklist is on Roadmap › Onboarding in the app.

1. **Website** — Your website URL.
2. **Brand identity** — Build it from the website and any brandbook (brand-identity agent).
3. **Messaging framework** _(optional)_ — Build the messaging framework (value propositions and proof per persona), or import your own.
4. **Image library** _(optional)_ — Connect your photo folder: real photos for designs and posts.
